Why are there literally no Brahma Temples in India? Why is Brahma not worshipped in India?
To start with, I know there are a handful of Brahma temples where Brahma is worshipped in India but this more of an exception than the norm especially when compared to Shiva & Vishnu. I think you get the gist.
So India has a plethora of new as well as ancient temples dedicated to Vishnu & Shiva across the country. However isn't it curious why there are so few temples dedicated to Brahma. So why is Brahma who is part of the trinity of Brahma Vishnu Mahesh i.e. The Creater, Protector & Destroyer finds for itself so few places of worship & not so popular among deities. There is a myth about Brahma & Saraswati associated to explain this, however the real reason why this has happened in India is based upon a very real historical & geographical phenomenon that occured in the very region that was considered the home of Brahma "The Brahmavarta". These events not only changed the status of Brahma as a praying deity but also changed the course of history of the entire civilisation.

To summarise the info in the video above. Brahmavarta as the name suggests was considered as the home of Brahma & was the region whose boundaries were defined by the Sarasvati river in the North of that region and the Drishdavati river to the South of that region, Kurukshetra in the plains was the head of this region. This area was named after the king Kuru of the Kuru dyansty whose progeny later fought the war of the Mahabharata. This region wass considered as very sacred, holy & was highly fertile. Arcahelogical excavations ahve indicated that the maximum concentration of the cities of the Vedic civilization or for some the Saraswati-Indus civilization were found in this region. However due to tectonic earth plate movements the rivers & its tributaries changed courses & they dried up in this region causing socio-economic chaos in the region (the events in the Mahbharata i.e. fight between two sets of brothers later on provided the ignition required in an already volatile condition to set of the war of Mahabharata to a scale equivalent of an ancient World War). This ultimately led to abandoment of the region once so highlt populated, lively & rich. So the land or home of Brahma was considered as cursed leading to the reduced status of Brahma as a prayed deity.
